14F hotter… Hot damn. Those forests got cooked!
Good news everybody, we’re nowhere close to 14° of global warming yet.
Maybe in your grandchildren’s lifetime, though.

Pretty sure that’s AI slop. Who the hell writes with that many quotations then just abruptly stops halfway?

That’s not really an argument for veganism. It’s a moral accusation masquerading as a premise. It assumes that eating animals necessitates “harming others” in a morally relevant sense, then uses that assumption to characterize everyone who disagrees as someone who approves of exploiting vulnerable beings. That’s basically begging the question with a side order of moral condemnation.
I knew this woman that claimed she was vegan. She was interested in aquaponics. Raising fish for food and using the effluent as fertilizer. Not that she would eat the fish. No, because she’s vegan! She was happy to sell the fish to somebody who would, though. She was also interested in raising chickens for their eggs as well as meat chickens for slaughter. Not that she eats eggs or chicken, but she has no problem exploiting chickens and selling their eggs and corpses.
Your purity test is wanting, IMO. As you phrased it it seems pulling weeds could become an ethical crisis.

The primary existence is easy money.

It kind of seems like if a vegan worked on a CAFO and processed livestock for slaughter …
Virtue jerking is funny.

2026 is getting spicy.
NIF has repeatedly achieved ignition. In June 2026, the National Ignition Facility produced 7.9 MJ of fusion energy from 2.08 MJ delivered to the target, giving a target gain of about 3.8. This was only its 11th ignition shot.
SPARC is nearing completion. The goal is Q > 1. We should know whether this works out or not in a few years.
Helion is using a radically different D-T design that will capture energy via induction rather than making steam. Extremely ambitious!
And even if it doesn’t ever work out I can certainly still enjoy it for the scholarly sake of simply enjoying STEM.

I’m pretty sure they’re all distinct entities. There’s a whole Pantheon of demons, devils, and so forth. Lucifer took a third of the Angels with Her.

I mean planet wise. Global pollution decreased. It was a breath of fresh air for the whole world.

The future is fusion.

SMRs mitigate some of that.

What you’re looking for is called a resource sniffer.

I don’t think I’m ever going to enjoy air that clean ever again…

Nah. The pandemic actually basically paused things(did not reverse). A testament to taking immediate action.
