Same but for my mom
Same but for my mom
well, sometimes people on the internet are women or gay. Also, I don’t think that’s true, Russian internet culture is just really misogynistic (more overtly than the “western” internet) so women sometimes use male pronouns. I’m Russian too and know a few women who do this.
Assuming everyone is male is actually part of the misogyny, please try not to do that
I mean, we’re seeing the same thing (sans the communist orgs) play out in real time across Europe now. In Britain, labor purges Jeremy corbyn and his ilk, then gets elected with a solid mandate, then promises to gut the NHS and promotes transphobic policies (for no material benefit) in the name of coalition building anyway.
What distinguishes these “bipartisan” labourists and their american equivalents from the Tories except different colored hats? Would you also blame corbyn for running against these people?
did you just assume my gender partner preference
jk jk, tho I do have medical (mental) problems which make me more or less completely unwilling to engage in those sorts of things with anyone
How can a man with over 10 children be more of an incel than me a literal involuntary celibate
I thought Americans (at least the ones who watch MSNBC) all agreed he voted in the 2016 election
There’s a long tail of servers/bartenders who are against this as well because they work at expensive establishments and make bank off tips. Like high double digits an hour.
If the push to convert tips into wages ever becomes serious, conservative media will do its best to platform and promote these servers who stand to lose income off it. We gotta think of a rhetoric/messaging strategy to counter that.
This + MDMA in the water supply
Well at least we made the shareholders of some military contractors richer that’s gotta count for something
Are you referring to the intervention in Libya? The one that happened in 2011?
this is an ancient and noble practice known as shitposting, no need to call it something else :)
imo redditors and 4channers think too highly of themselves if they believe they have real influence on elections. Most people aren’t online (except for Facebook), and politics are much more readily explained by material causes such as the Dems fcking up the post 2008 economic recovery and going for austerity instead of investment. The biggest proximate cause (non-material/economic) is just that hilldawg ran a bad campaign that didn’t focus enough on swing states (but she won the popular vote, congratulations).

Question from a late millennial, how real/popular were those Elsa spiderman YouTube brainrot videos that were a mini moral panic a few years back? I was never sure how much of it was consumed by bots as opposed to real children
Am I missing something? I thought you weren’t required to put a return address on postcards. Just put your username and email.
yes, that’s why I put it in quotes. However given the diversity of culture and language there’s still going to be slurs that the predominantly English speaking mods will not be aware of, so users should be able to set their own filters.

If it’s not for you you can just block it
Imo the flaw of both the op and this comment is it almost completely leaves out the reasons why it is “young”. Were the people who created the “new” culture settling on pristine virgin land? What could possibly have happened to the existing people who bore the “old” culture? Hmm
spoiler: the answer is that anglo saxon protestants were convinced of their superiority and almost uniquely violent, with few qualms about outright massacring and displacing natives. At least the spanish speaking catholics in south america intermarried and assimilated somewhat
I was trying to draw a comparison to how the KPD formed in the first place. they were a group within the spd who were horrified at their colleagues voting in support of a brutal imperialist war and left (or rather were kicked out) of the party. Imo there has to be a moral line somewhere after which you refuse to vote for or even be in government with someone.
And it is not just the uk’s system of elections, as I mentioned this pattern happens across all of Europe and the United States, which leads me to also believe it’s an inherent feature of “liberal” bourgeois democracy and the kpd were right to roll the dice and try to fight it through non electoral means.
