“Is it more important that democratic elections continue, or that your party win?”
“Well I do like being on the winning team…”
I lost my friggin glasses two weeks ago, it’d be nice to find them.
I never heard of this game, except for how poorly it’s performed. I didn’t see any sneak peaks, or ads on the Playstation store. I didn’t hear about it from friends or guildies.
I know that’s a sample size of one, but no one I know or play games with had it in their radar at all. This game showed up one weekend with some drama over psn accounts or something, then flopped and I still know almost nothing about the actual game.
I saw more information on The Finals than I saw on this.
On Windows or Linux?
Compelling, but I don’t want to break the set.
Look, if someone cut me a cheque right now, for payment of my bones when I’m done with them I’d take it in an instant.
That’s not what’s happening here, those are likely bodies that didn’t meet the grade for medical/scientific use so they were sold off, which is gross and shitty.
However, bidding on my meat carcass starts at $5000.
I mean, yes in theory, but it’s also a social contract. We shouldn’t allow people who advocate for violence or harm against other people.
There should be no censorship in theory. In theory, communism works. In theory.
This was the weirdest thing. That dude had energy, and it tanked his run. One time he did a weird thing and it ruined his chances, now we’re counting the weird things people do daily and it has no effect.
Didn’t the us government give them 3bn to build foundries stateside?
I don’t think I’ll leave OW2 for this, purely because I’m super casual and only play unranked/MH.
I’m glad that is coming out and people are having fun though.
It’s almost like entire markets being controlled by a small amount of large organizations is only a bad thing for consumers.
The manufacturer is concerned that they will be pulling a ton of power from both connectors. Sometimes the second connector is just for ancillary power silly or balancing, in this instance they are saying that they’re planning on your card pulling as much power as possible.
You might find that in heavy situations, or on hot days, your power supply overcurrent will trip out and your system will crash. If you have the second connector, I’d connect it, and if you’re worried about having a plug dangle around just tie it back with a tywrap or some electrical tape so it’s nice and clean.
I can’t help but think that Microsoft has decided to proceed in some way that will break compatibility, so they’re done with Mono now.
I know it’s skeptical, but I just have no faith in that company to act in good faith with anything.
When the story broke, my wife and I discussed it a bit, and I mentioned that I hadn’t even heard of the game before all this.
If it was deliberate marketing, it was really well done.
For like, a couple years, sure. Then there will be a huge push to fix all the weird shit generated by AI.
I did this.
Is it stupid? Yes.
Did it work? Also yes.
For the amount of time that we’d have power out, it was just way to easy to throw a breaker and connect it like this just to keep a small heater and a light running. If I had the money at the time I would have loved battery backup/ bypass but this cost $2 and an old cord.
I wanted to drive trains for a long time. I love big machines and I love trains, so when I got a gig as a conductor I was excited. I excelled in the training and devoured everything I could in the CROR and the movements of equipment.
When I hit the yard, there were lost time accidents every day, multiple derailments, and when coming into work one day I was late because an engine hit a 52’ trailer and flipped it into another engine at a crossing in the yard, in front of the train masters office.
My shifts were 4-12 hours long, but often I’d have to get a taxi across town after a shift to get my car then drive home and go to sleep, only to get woken up by a phone call giving me two hours notice for my next shift. That shit was bananas.
It was explained to me early on that the work lists that we were given weren’t physically possible to do in a safe/perscribed manner. Like, they don’t actually give you time to move the train forward, stop it, flip a switch, move back and decouple, so often conductors would call out multiple movements and hustle behind the train to get everything done without stopping. Which lead to some dude getting his legs cut off.
I didn’t do that for very long. I loved working on the trains, and I was very good at it, but I quit without another job lined up before qualifying since I didn’t want to feel trapped working for cn.
I don’t know that valve needs to bring steamOS to other devices. Pretty sure Bazzite is good enough for most folks.
The author gets to the crux near the end. Trump supporters don’t come to speeches for policy, they come for performance art. That’s what they expect from their leaders, because that’s what they’re trained to expect.
Between American entertainment trying to blur the lines between fantasy/ reality, and 24 hour news networks making everything a big deal the public at large has atrophied critical thinking skills.
