If you can’t get it to work for some reason, there was a re-release for the newer consoles a few years back. I saw some at Microcenter a few weeks ago.
Those should be USB and should work, in theory.

This has been the case for Google Voice. I transferred my old number to it and even stuff I had it for verification no longer works because services see it as a landline for some dumb reason.
*note, this isn’t for all online services. Some still recognize it and accept it for verification. But a good handful don’t.
That is some beautiful craftsmanship. I’m sure better than the one she saw on Amazon.
They said in the comment I replied to
but as far as I can tell, for it to be useful either I’d have to be with them or one of them would have to be a member of my household and an “Associate Member” on my account, none of which is the case.
But with AAA, it’s not about payment. I’m not sure if you know or not, but AAA is a membership service some people pay for annually in North America and it provides access to towing.
In my case, I pay about $50 each year and have 3 slots for the year to get towing, battery service, gas delivered if I run out of gas, tire changes if I get a flat, among other tow services. If I need one, I call in to AAA and they contact a local tow truck driver to come on behalf of AAA but they are not employees of AAA. There is no payment needed when the tow truck driver arrives under this service as AAA handles that on their end from membership fees from members.
But when the tow truck driver arrives, someone on scene with the troubled vehicle needs to show proof that they are the AAA member who called for the tow truck driver. If no one has that AAA card to prove membership, the tow truck driver can leave without doing anything for the vehicle.
So my comment was suggesting that one of OP’s parents downloads the AAA app to their phone which may be treated the same as the plastic card and they can provide that when the tow truck driver arrives as if they are OP and called for the tow, themselves.
Edit: apologies for the duplicate comments. No idea what happened
Couldn’t one of them download the app and pretend to be you when the tow truck driver gets there?
On my iPhone, I have my AAA in my digital wallet which I think is treated as good as the plastic card.
Might be something to look into?
I wish those little PCs would make a comeback.
But smartphones have changed that, largely.
There is a desire to go back to dumb flip phones, though, and I wonder if that could help bring small form factor PCs back.
It shouldn’t be when they were talking about making that shit retroactive for games that were already released. Unity proved they cannot be trusted. Besides, developers should move to other engines for the sole reason of sending a message to the other guys in the industry like Epic’s Unreal Engine. Pull shit like this and you’ll lose out on the developers. Make them realize that Unity was a failed experiment and no one wants to be like them.
It’s not just the lack of availability but that was a part of it. Microsoft and Sony’s lack of proper response is part of the reason.
I remained “patient” to some extent as I only just got to build my PC this year. The GPU “shortage” was a part of it too.
But I felt that Sony and Microsoft could have done more for customers. Sony had a program to get actual PS users a PS5 but that too was still sold out. Scalpers had no issue buying pallets of consoles but actual fans couldn’t. It was insane.
But besides that, I’ve since realized that, at least for myself, a PC is the better way to go. Consoles are a waste of money for me in the long run as a PC will be used for more than just gaming and the longevity of the parts and upgradeability is incomparable. I likely wouldn’t have felt this way had I just been able to get a PS5/Xbox Series X like I wanted.
But Microsoft and Sony don’t seem to care about their actual fans and them getting consoles in their homes, which is what soured it for me. Though, yeah, same could be said about Nvidia and AMD as well to an extent too, but there are more manufacturers under them that make the actual cards and you had some like EVGA that had programs that tried to get a GPU in actual customers’ hands and not the greedy scalpers.
I’m in the same boat. I used that money and saved a bit more and just built my first gaming PC.
I still want to play Ghost of Tsushima but I will not buy a PS5 just for that game. Don’t think I’m going to buy any more consoles in the future, sadly. The last release soured me on these releases too.
Was just reminded on here a few days about Jet Set Radio Future.
The graphics aren’t realistic so it still feels good despite being released 20 years ago. The music and overall gameplay is also fantastic and original.
It somewhat got a “remaster” as a spiritual successor this past summer as Bomb Rush Cyberfunk. With added “vehicles” and HD which makes it a bit more crisp in detail.
True, at the end of the day, he did irreversible damage to Unity’s image with this move.
In his defense, he likely wasn’t alone in making this decision or approving of it, so there’s that.

Is it something like really different?
Because if slight changes, this could be the users. Unlike Reddit, Lemmy allows users to change their titles of a post.
For example, if someone asks a community a question seeking an answer, the title of the post may originally have had something like “question” or “unanswered”, but after receiving the answer, the user decides to mark the post as now being “solved”, so it’s readily apparent to future audience of the page.
Did they really encourage it? Genuinely curious as I never heard that before, but that’s wild if true.
Addressed an issue that could cause V to become invulnerable to all damage.
I don’t know if I’d call that an “issue”
I’m surprised advertisers don’t have much of a problem with it. Because it just makes me fucking despise whatever website I was tricked into going to.
It would be like a sandwich shop hiring a guy to wear a sandwich costume and pass out flyers on their corner. Only, instead of just doing that, he forces you into the sandwich shop. Guaranteed I would be pissed and hate that place for life.
Seems like your state has gotten the brunt of the bad alerts. Either not getting alerts or getting fake alerts like the incoming nuke from North Korea or whatever it was back then.
You’ve got to be shitting me. They just released one of these repetitive games already and now they’re releasing another so soon?
