If it sounds worth it, you should go for it. If you think you can push games faster (or higher quality), or save some time doing 3D works or AI things in many years to come, or just to future proof, cancel and buy the laptop you need.

Definitely not worth it imo. When I see 8gb of soldiered ram, no matter how good it is, if it’s not upgradable, it’s bad.
