Those sound great! Thanks! :D
I have only dabbled into the altars of sorrow, out of all the options you mentioned, so I would probably stick to that?
At the moment I’m mostly trying to complete various exotic quests and leftover after-campaign quests from all the dlcs.
Do you maybe know of some way of earning silver leaves quicker than the 7 leaves/10 minutes of bonfire bash?
Hey!
Thanks for the (late) reply. I kind of sprinted through all the campaigns and I found them to be (at the best of times) serviceable to really good - with Lightfall definitely being the weakest one, Witch Queen being absolutely phenomenal!
I did this all on a fresh Warlock and while the dialogues did imply that some other strong Guardian accomplished some major feats, I kind of liked this perspective of just having that be my main from the other account. Gave me some flavor of actually being a ‘new light’ just being tossed into the world and having to face all these new threats. :)
Thanks for the build recommendations - tough, as I haven’t even touched any other class yet, I think those will take some time. But I get the spirit of your decisions and I’ll keep my eyes out for some fun stuff. Haven’t found the Witherhoard yet, as I’ve just about finished the campaigns and am now trying to tie up loose quests and exotic quests while pushing my Power Level.
And the best part is: I haven’t even touched crucible yet and don’t see any reasons to :D
That sounds great. Thanks for your thorough replies! :)
I guess I’ll just try moving through the campaigns and activities and get a grip on the new mechanics and gameplay loops first.
If you’re down, are there any builds/pieces of equipment you would suggest for having some fun? I used to like ability-heavy builds for spamming grenades/refilling your super real quick - is that still on the table?
Hey!
Thanks for the quick response. :)
Like I mentioned in the title, I bought the legacy bundle on a whim, which seems to include every dlc “pack” + Witchqueen and Lightfall and the 30th anniversary thingy. This does not seem to include dungeon keys for two DLCs (Witchqueen and Lightfall, I think?) as they’re only in the eververse shop (yikes). Gonna have to look into those, they could be interesting.
I do plan on playing all the campaigns that are still available, as I did like the story (at least most parts) back when I played. EDIT: At least for the new subclasses, I guess.
Also: thanks on the heads-up on the episodes. Doesn’t really sound all that interesting to me then.
Is there any other type of free content dropped during the seasons or do I get “left out” for not buying the annual pass?
The good ending
Could use more pets, tough
Damn. That really sucks. I enjoyed Pauls videos so much, they’re the reason I watch “challenge run” content at all.
I really hoped he could pull through and stay sober after he announced his last hiatus, but I guess alcohol wins this one.
Addictions are cruel.
Would actually be a chad move
I see Dirk Gently’s, I upvote. And that scene also fits so well :D
Major problem I forgot: I think the dialogues are text based, so you might have to read it out loud or wait until your kid can read at a comfortable speed (if she can’t already). :)
Hey!
It’s not coop, but I recently played “The Big Con” (with Gamepass) and it’s more of a fun ride with an easy control scheme and decent puzzles. While the FeMC isn’t the classic “strong female lead”, she is a teenager growing up and develops throughout the game and it’s story.
I found it very funny (your daughter might not get every joke, tough), depicts some good topics (trust, family and responsibility) in a very lighthearted way with a cute art style. :)
You can both be right
Good points, actually. I can’t really comment on the nature of free will, as I don’t know how common nihilism stands on that matter (I would say that a determined universe seems more “cruel”, tough). Whether or not free will exists you could still argue that the actions of people are still the result of the universe
Right. I don’t have much information on nihilism beyond “life is suffering”, and I’m not sure it applies to these Pop-Nihilists. But I’m sure they world argue that no external entity is needed to deem the universe as cruel. If I were to make a guess, I’d say they would likely refer to the laws of nature in place of the universe, deeming “nature” (if you will) as cruel, or at least uncaring. Tough, this would be far from the initial “life is suffering” claim, I’m sure it would entail some form of effect nature has on the human psyche (e.g. causality/determinism and with that certain unappealing emotions like hopelessness or frustration). If anyone knows more or would tend to disagree, please let me know :)
All in all good meme, but not very coherent critique, in my opinion
me, stepping over my shadow: Hello!
Breaking your arm, as is tradition on a fine normal day
Not saying your critics aren’t valid, tough I wouldn’t really share them. Control scheme is fine to me (seems pretty standard?), tough the sensitivity is all kinds of wonky. Especially the tutorial (the first intro into the shooting range) - if anything I’d say it wasn’t in depth enough. I do have to correct myself, I share your sentiment, that games should be playable in offline/single player. What this game is doesn’t really allow that.
I guess you are looking for a different game then. The marketing was kinda unclear, so I get it. Wouldn’t call it a flop anyway, there are lots of people enjoying it for what it is. :)
I’ll say it again because I don’t think this game gets the recognition it deserves:
Try it! If you have Gamepass, just download and try it. And if the core gameplay is fun to you, stick with it.
The game doesn’t tell you much, but by playing (and simultaneously progressing the story) it gets so much better!
There is so much good going on in this one (also bad stuff, don’t get me wrong) that I just wanted to say this:)
Just a question: what do you mean by “DLC unlockers”? Never heard that one before in this context
I swear on the traveler, if I just bank enough motes, some of his glimmer will trickle down on me. I can feel it
