What Tina Peters did is clearly immoral. She tampered with voting equipment and spread lies about election fraud, which directly undermines trust in democracy. I don’t care if she thought she was doing the right thing. Breaking laws meant to protect elections is not just wrong, it’s dangerous.
Get a grip. It’s absolutely crazy to compare Tina Peters to MLK Jr., Rosa Parks, or Gandhi. These people fought against deep systemic injustice, risking their lives for civil rights and freedom. Peters’ actions, spreading lies tied to election denial and abuse of power, don’t come close to that level of sacrifice or historical importance. Trying to equate the two is a huge stretch and undermines the legacy of true leaders who changed the world for the better.
I get what you’re saying and agree, but patriotism doesn’t inherently lead to xenophobia. It can coexist with openness, respect for diversity, and global cooperation.
Patriotism is defined as love for one’s country, a sense of pride in its culture, values, and history, and a desire to contribute to its well-being. In its positive form, patriotism encourages civic responsibility, unity, and respect for a nation’s traditions without hostility toward others.
Of course in some cases it can lead to ultra-nationalism, but it doesn’t have to.

Isn’t this the guy who was caught making racist remarks about Native Americans and refused to apologize?
Montana is a beautiful state, hopefully they don’t vote this loser in.
I appreciate your willingness to correct the record.
As for the aid to Israel, I agree that the nature of the assistance and how it’s used is a critical issue. I completely agree with your points and now understand your usage of “blank check”.
First of all, there aren’t any blank checks. Foreign aid isn’t a lump sum of money just given to a country. We allocate it to a spending purse and they can choose to spend it on specific items the US agrees upon, which is usually weapons. We don’t just give them cash.
Second, which debt? The US hasn’t issued any debt to Ukraine since the war started, except for possibly private companies.
I agree with your sentiment, just not the facts.
Nowhere in that article does it mention that he wants them banned, but go ahead and tell me I’m wrong somehow because level playing field equals being banned.
It sounds like he didn’t have an answer but thinks there should be some kind of system in include everyone.
Based on the first part of your comment I’m sure your response will be well thought out and free from derogatory terms.
I refuse to go through the body scanners, but the last time I went through the airport there wasn’t anyone trying to opt-out. I seriously doubt if the radiation perv scanner doesn’t get people to do anything, this won’t either.

I completely agree. A lot of the time “I believe in science” is usually used in reference to comparing it to feelings or faith, and in those cases it makes sense to say you trust science over someone’s gut feeling or their “own research”. If you are someone who just blindly goes around proclaiming “I believe in science” then you need to go back to school and take a critical thinking course.

Israel doesn’t get more aid. Unless you consider total aid since 1946 adjusted for inflation, then yes, but that wouldn’t make sense. Israel gets 3.3 billion a year. Since February 2022, the United States has allocated $113.4 billion in emergency funding to support Ukraine.
