Obviously the garbage has to get out of the ocean, I just remember that the last I heard about it a few years ago they had to stop because they were accidentally hurting and killing the very wildlife they’re trying to protect. There needs to be a group of lawyers out there with spines of steel to take on a class action lawsuit(or several) to sue the fuck out of each of the states and politicians who pushed these anti-woman laws through and they resulted in women dying or being injured by healthcare being withheld… as mandated by the laws.

As someone from the US i always saw it as people can’t afford to take time off to donate, so compensating them for their time makes it so they can afford to donate.

A few states make it illegal to be monetarily compensated for your blood or plasma, but others it’s completely fine.

It is helpful that they know there are humans in the world who behave like monsters, and that some of them are men who target people who they perceive to be weaker than themselves.

So children, women, other men who are either physically smaller or in a lower position of power. That’s what they need to know. So they can protect themselves, and help stop others from becoming someone else’s monster if the opportunity arises.

Doing things like speaking out against sexual harassment, and calling out bullying behavior, this is everyone’s responsibility btw. Not just men’s and boys, but this is what needs to be taught so world can suck less.

You’re right about this. When everything with Isreal first happened I thought they were justified since they were attacked first.
Now… now not so much. As much as I hate that people are killing themselves, I probably wouldn’t have looked closer at what’s going on and changed my mind.

Ideally a temp would fill the position while the parent is on leave. At least that’s how my company handled it recently. We still couldn’t wait for our coworker to come back because she was really good at her job, but the work got done regardless of any hiccups due to the temp learning her position.

I don’t have kids by choice, so this has zero effect on me, but parental leave is kinda important and companies that shove the workload onto everyone else is what causes this resentment.

In my area the types of guys into outdoorsy stuff also tend to trash their campsites.

I can’t count the number of times I go hiking and find beer/monster/soda cans, empty beefjerky bags, lead fishing weights that were cut off and left next to the rest of the garbage, piles of empty shotgun shells(not just one or two that were missed or fell out of a pocket), cigarette butt’s and boxes, ect.

It’s always really shitty to find a part of the forest like that. Especially if I can see where there was tree stand above the pile of garbage. I get that deer are basically overpopulated due to milder winters, but take care of the forest my dudes.

This only works for shorter flights, but you can eat an edible before you go into the airport. I reccomend one that you’ve tried before the flight so you know how high you’ll get and how long it’ll last.

The problem is people applying laws like castle doctrine outside of situations that they were intended for… then shitty judges allow it to be applied outside of those situations… resulting in these random ass killings for people knocking on doors. It’s messed up and horrible.

But at the same time a few years ago a family near my friends house had someone break in, killed the two parents and then chased down the son and killed him in the woods. The young man tried to retreat and was killed anyway. THEN they robbed the house. They were looking for stuff to steal and sell for drugs. Then they set the house on fire.

If someone is legitimately breaking into your house you should be able to defend yourself if you can’t get away. It doesn’t need to be a gun, but you should not go to jail for hurting someone who is in your house who is not supposed to be there.

There’s no way to tell if that person is just a burglar or might fucking kill you over your stuff. What are you supposed to do? Ask them? “Excuse me criminal, are you the murderous type or just a burglar?”

Obviously leave if you can, but this case shows running away doesn’t always work. That poor family.

Fortunately, a lot of children of shitty parents grow up to be good people.

Many adult children of these sorts of parents tend to become estranged from their family of origin when they fail to become their parents clone.

This part is just my observation, but it seems that the more a terrible parent wants their kids to be exactly like them more the child will rebel and run in the opposite direction once they’re free.

Unfortunately what your asking of people requires personal sacrifice, and people will mentally go all over the place to resist that.

A personal anecdotes is that I’m no longer in contact with my family because I refused to see my racist grandfather on his deathbed and didn’t attend his funeral.

My grandfather was an abusive, literal stereotype of a racist(would say things like “them n-words down the road are fucking up this town”) and a raging alcoholic. The world is better because he’s fucking dead. Now I don’t have a family of origin because I wouldn’t pretend he was a good person.

Men will lose friends and family if they start calling this shit out. It’s hard. You get told to “mind your business” or "it’s just a joke " or get your masculinity questioned. Or the whole “but they’re family” thing. I get why people resist it. No one wants to lose their social support, but often that’s what it comes down to, and they’ll make it feel like you’re the one who’s in the wrong the whole time.

Social pressure is a hell of a thing. I think framing the context around why men don’t call this stuff out will help them recognize why they should.

Isn’t that what all salt is? When they put stuff like that on a product like salt it starts to lose meaning and is clearly a marketing gimmick aimed at health conscious people.

I’m not okay with taking advantage of people who want to be healthy. As with everything marketing its about stretching the truth to outright lying and it seriously needs to be more regulated so words like organic actually mean something to consumers and we know what we’re buying. If they want to lable salt as organic, it should say “uses organic cornstarch as an anti-caking agent.” The cornstarch is organic, not the salt itself because it can’t be.
