The lua sdk is great btw!
Hello, thank you 👋 The niche toys are my favorite! Someone made an orrery app, which is like a solar system simulator. I have this year’s eclipse bookmarked because it’s neat
Would probably help if it were available on a platform people actually use
(on pc at least)
Mars After Midnight was fun!
Unfortunately it’s still ~$100 just to make the thing, so halving the price doesn’t sound likely. It’s definitely a device you have to use intentionally because of the screen, but I still play mine at least few times a week (and daily when I’m pomodoroing!)
Plus you get 3 months of included games! A bit harder to become ewaste so fast when you’re playing something new every week
Heck yeah, I think that’s a good reason! 💛 Hopefully they ship out by mid-December, would be nice over Christmas!
Cheers, happy Halloween!
Save up for season 2, it’ll be like a game book club! Maybe we can finally make a playdate lemmy community 😭
As a dev who recently released a game for the system (on sale now - only $1!), I’m pretty excited to see what gets included! It sounds like it’ll be all new games
Insane plan:
“They’ve got Assassin’s Creed Shadows, they’ve also got Assassin’s Creed Invictus next year, Assassin’s Creed Hexe, Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag remake, and they plan to do a new Assassin’s Creed every six months or so for the next ten years, I believe,” says Henderson.
I remember when ubi decided to stop doing yearly releases because they’d diluted their own brand with bad releases, can’t wait to see it happen again!
erm ackshually
Why are you arguing about something that matters so little?
Undead Nightmare becoming suddenly easy to stream around Halloween will probably boost sales a bit too
Voyager is my favorite, but mlem is a close second for me
Impossible Whopper is decent, at least it’s not a pile of grease like the meat version is.
I really liked Panda Express’s crunchy things they advertised as impossible chicken. Wish they still had them!
I downloaded the demo rom (from itch) to play on my anbernic sp tonight! I didn’t realize there was a nice little homebrew scene
Edit: Played it some, great game! They have little gates that take away abilities and it makes traversing a shared area really fun. Smart level design and the platforming is solid
Little Inferno can be beaten in ~3 hours and… let me check… yes, it’s on mobile! It’s by the people that made World of Goo, don’t sleep on it
Hat in Time is a great modern 3D platformer, movement was fun and I liked the variety of characters across the levels. The Murder on the Owl Express quest was my favorite!
Most of the game is fantastic, but yeah my partner and I were surprised when that happened!
There was one other plot point where we raised our eyebrows, but I don’t know to do spoiler text
KNIFE FIGHT!!!
There’s a lot to do outside the main plot, the townspeople were really interactive. Great rec! The falling leaves give it a cozy vibe too
If I need to keep my Python environment separate I’d rather spin up a docker container. They make virtual environments pointless
