Other social media apps grabbed people’s attention. Also the new generation of car guys don’t go on forums. A lot of them got into cars because of social media/YouTube, and stayed there.

Idk if this is just conjecture but I feel like the boomers and gen x-ers didn’t really prioritize spending a lot of time showing their kids the hobby. Working on cars with them, going to shows, teaching them how to drive stick…I just don’t see them really doing that with any frequency. So there’s a generational divide and forums are a casualty of that.
