Self defense in middle school. I was awkward for at least 2 years due to some life events (bipolar mom that kicked me out of not being g perfect in school, forced to move with dad that did not know how to psrent and didn’t finish middle school himself) Great in class but it took a while to start interacting with all the new people I’m meeting. Ended up leading to a few fights from some of them associated with a gang and police were involved since it was “zero tolerance” never got charged since the teachers would request the footage so I wouldn’t get charged for the mess but it was stressful. High school was with the same kids, at least half of them didn’t graduate

Ayy a local that’s here on Lemmy gotta love it. Was actually going to mention Boost! from south Jersey. I’ve seen it randomly in store while I was down in Florida in a neighborhood nearby that was full of the retired Jersey shore residents that come down for the winter. Its not something I’d personally drink but know a good amount of people that love it. Probably never took off since the name is the exact same as the protein drink while being a complete opposite lol

Too many distractions from reality sadly as well as the “If it doesn’t affect me then why should I care” mindsets. I’ve got friends who would also fit into the demographics to be harassed but fall into these mindsets. I will continue to protests as they happen locally as many more people should. Sorting by new for me on any of the bigger subreddits shows me there being only a few posts a day yet each post will have insane amounts of botted responses. Only thing keeping me on there are the local subreddits and r/standupcomedy. Even r/news sucks there. 5.8 million subscribers but 7 posts within 24 hours (that are at least visible). How would there be almost no discussion when there’s more than a small country of people allegedly viewing this

This might be a bigger year than usual for being gifted digital services than traditional gifts with there looking like there will be less stock of physical products. Isn’t Walmart apparently no longer stocking the Xbox soon too? Gamepass can be played on anything that gamer already has, so one for the best examples I can make of that kind of change.

YTM for me since it has a vast amount of different versions and remixes of songs that aren’t elsewhere. Most can be accessed by regular YouTube but still very convenient for it’s discovery features. Tidal does win for audio quality
