  • 2.5L straight six 👌🏻. I had a 525i and it was a great car. Depending on what kind of driving you do. If it’s mostly motorway I’d get an auto personally. Have a look on YouTube there are loads of people having these as project cars so you can get the idea of maintenance cost, running costs etc… good luck! 👍🏻

  • I have always done most my own work to my cars. Started on little things like brakes, servicing etc… not put my BMW in a garage for years. When I did put my car in for a service I use my local independent.

My uncle has a bmw and he puts into the local main dealer he gets ripped off left right and centre. He even buys tyres from them and it’s astronomical the prices they charge.

I always shop around for everything, parts & tyres. Try and get the best price for everything and fit/repair things myself where possible.

Personally, yes very. Tbh my 330d the front drivers side shock failed so I replaced all 4 and it developed a gearbox leak but it was the oil cooler lines. Two £2 o rings and it was sorted.

I only got rid of the 330 because someone crashed into it and wrote it off otherwise I’d still have it now.

Absolutely 0 issues with the 430 so far 👍🏻
