  • OP can’t even stick to his own parameters.

Worst- Second Generation Buick Rivieras. They start out in 1966 as this super sleek clean looking modern muscle car, and by 1969 its gained 200lbs of chrome bumpers, relocated the headlights to the middle of the grille, ran those headlights on vacuum swivels, but removed swivel seats as an option. It’s like it lost more features and got more gaudy until they had to clean it all up in 1970 with a new Gen.

Best- 1996 GMT400 line. Outside, ehh, very little changed. But, 1996 the interior shot straight out of 1985 and landed itself square in the modern day. The plastic was way better quality, no more edges that gave blunt force trauma in fender benders, no more hideous square dash that looked like a Zenith portable TV, no more DOA radio, no more door panels that looked Squarebody recycled, no more dusty bench seat because you gained buckets and a middle console and working cupholders, they even put a little flashlight on a wire against the firewall in case you break down and need light; the engine gained serious power and roller lifters, got what was IMO a better FI system, real dual exhaust with dual cats on 4x4s, and they made the gauges more accurate while improving the dash. 1000% improvement, even if bodies stayed mostly the same.

  • I get all my car content from YouTube these days. Although it can be a search, I’ve found a few that are genuinely worth it.

My two favorites currently are Uncle Tony’s Garage and Junkyard Digs, because they’re working on cars the average guy could find abandoned near him and potentially get running. They’ve worked on everything from Muscle Cars to Boats and Snowmobiles at Junkyard Digs, and Uncle Tony has videos breaking down most engine, suspension, and drivetrain systems so anybody could understand them. Both are fully of good advice and great videos full of information. Entertainment value on both isnt bad either.

Another solid suggestion is The Car Wizard; he has some great stuff, but I struggle to stay awake listening to him because he’s monotone. And Puddins Fab shop is also solid, but he’s a lot of the same old car content as Junkyard but doesn’t tend to be as informational as he is funny and entertaining.
