I’m a very long-time subscriber to 1Password, and I was already contemplating canceling because of the price increase. I already pay for Proton, so 1P was redundant, but I figured it’s fine–I’d be going from $3/mo to $4/mo. No big deal, and I don’t put all my eggs in the same basket.

My sub is up in a couple weeks, so this happened just in time for me make the decision to cancel. And I hope I’m reading way too far into it, but I’m now looking at all their pricing ending in 88 in a different light.

Exactly. The article doesn’t say the first two shots were from the front, but they weren’t necessarily life-threatening even if they were. The final shot came when the shooter was out of the way and no longer had any reason to fear for his life and, therefore, had no reason to fire a third time.
