The Cask of Amontillado.
I remember reading it, and seeing it as a metaphor for killing off an aspect of yourself, like being a drunk, no matter how long or hard the process is, and hoping that it will never come back to haunt you.
The names are quite similar and I was trying to sober up at the time; I wasn’t going to admit to the grade 9 class the latter.
Montresor = Mon trésor is “my treasure”
Fortunato = the root word is “fortune”
The original link works fine for me, are you looking at it using actual lemmy, or an app?
Earlier this year, one in perfect condition sold for 3 million USD.
Very old/rare, and bonkers powerful.
The whole game is about what you do with mana (currency).
If all we are looking at is the mana, this lets you pay for other cards on your first turn that you normally wouldn’t be able to play until the 4th turn of the game. That’s a huge advantage.
Toggling between subbed/local/all/mod view does nothing

I just found out posting this that I need to be subscribed to the lemmy.ca support / questions in order to post here.
I can’t duplicate your subbed/Local/all view, and I can post here even though I am not subscribed.
Are you using the actual website, or one of the many unofficial apps?
I tried uploading a video but can’t seem to regardless of file size.
Lemmy doesn’t host video, you’ll need to upload it elsewhere and link to it.
Flappy bird is the rip-off version of a different game already
The 300+ Days of Rage March wasn’t broken up, it just ended.
If that’s what you prefer, may I recommend the place Where Life Makes Sense instead of “worse Winnipeg”?
Videos generally have written scripts.
Not a problem!
Another reason why it’s sometimes so far away is that they need a date that’s available for the lawyers on both sides, the judge, and the courtroom is available; sometimes it’s a nightmare.
The Judge will now look at the written submissions from both sides, look at the evidence, look at similar trials, and make sure they take enough time to make their decision in a way that won’t be overturned on appeal.
it’s how trials work in Canada.
Any update?
This main user that this was about is now at over 100 communities, which are basically all completely empty.
This has been a problem in Lemmy.ca for a while and I brought this up on !lemmy_ca_support@lemmy.ca a while back:
Heroin. I don’t inject heroin into my blood.
Yeah, I think Lemmy and Mastodon should be made even more separate than they are currently, they are different platforms with different styles, goals, and uses.
I agree with the general vibe of police are bad, in Winnipeg they recently killed a woman because they were driving off-road in a park at night, but the idea behind “sin taxes” are generally as a deterrent, as well as a way to try to mitigate damage to others.
I’ve been to places that are “cop bars” unknowingly, so the porcine populace may have have a DV-juice problem.
It’s taxed the way it is, because the only drug that kills more than booze are cigarettes.
Those taxes also go to help innocent people who are harmed in crimes that are often related to alcohol, like domestic violence, assault, and auto-incidents, also things like uttering threats and mischief.
Basically every post in !sekiro@lemmy.zip, !bloodborne@lemmy.zip, and !liesofp@lemmy.zip were just reddit reposts by @SoulsFetchBot@lemmy.zip.
This is exactly what we want machine learning to do, analyze existing data and quickly report to a human with what it found.
Generative LLM’s are garbage, analyzing with machine learning aids is useful.
