I use Linux mint, then use advanced emulation launcher to launch things that kodi doesn’t have but I want to use, like ESDE. Its a pain to remember custom thing I setup on it but I used to use the official kodi os (before the stopped it quite a few years ago)

I run snapraid and mergerfs, as the nas storage. Not much changes on my NAS and the stuff I really care about like my pictures and videos are on a small ZFS pool. Both are directly on proxmox, meaning I can just plug them in to another Linux machine and research if it all goes sideways. Its all shared from the host via SMB NFS or for jellyfin and immicher its a moint point for the container

You could also padding out the screwdriver tip or the screw hole. I’ve used sticky tape before, but again if its tight your pretty much out of luck…

Depending how tight it is you could superglue something to it to turn it ?

I had my wired phones turning the volume all the way down on my phone… Got a plastic tiny tooth pick and picked large amount of pocket fluff out the headphone socket and its been fine since.

Looks like a cpu/gpu type power connector. Even if its a standard plug does not mean its a standard pin out ! Craft computing on YouTube had what looked like a standard plug in his server but it had a 12volt and ground switched, so would have caused some real damage

I second this, when a drive shits the bed a sata controller handles it better, some times with a USB adapter you mess the whole bus up and need a reboot of the machine (from using them on windows experience)

Can’t remember how long ago I bought it, but it was either beta or pretty alpha at the time

They also put out a huge amount of heat ! Quite useful in old high rise flats !

Does it make the bleeps when you press buttons and move sliders ?

I’m sure there is a better way, but I seem to remember there was a watch folder integration that you could use to watch the TTS folder and then play that new file on a speaker. Not sure how you could then play it on the correct speaker, and I’m sure someone else has a much better real solution than this

So I don’t think HASS really names them, I think they have a default/preset name on themselves, like “TZ3000_2”

Before areas was a thing in HASS I would name things with an area name. ESP32-5-Bedroom. Now I just leave it what ever it defaults to, then use HASS to name them, and then put them in an area.

Should be fine, I’m writing to spinning rust, so if I was playing back a movie it could cause a few “dad the tv is buffering again” problems
