I’ve used a few so far including Jerboa, Liftoff, Connect and Thunder and i have to admit that all are decent clients and I guess its somewhat down to personal preference, but I prefer Connect or Thunder.

I’m actually looking into purchasing a Surface Pro 7/8 to replace my current laptop, and was wondering about compatibility for dual booting
I’ve not seen this film for agea! Will watch again over the weekend. What a film!
My first distro was Redhat back in like 96? Then I moved to Slackware and never looked back and still use it today.
Haha wow. What next?!
I’m actually surprised anyone is left on that shell of a platform.
I am Pilgrim - Terry Hayes & Cell - Stephen King
Any of the Championship Manager games.
It all started with the socialably acceptable alcohol which I drank to extremes then came weed followed by the hard drugs later in life.
I got clean by turning up at a Narcotics Anonymous meeting and getting myself a sponsor and working the steps.
Just for Today - I’m clean and have a positive outlook on life
I downloaded Thunder from Neostore but haven’t tried it yet. I’m currently using Connect as my goto and enjoying the experience of the app and Lemmy so far.
I’ve switched between Liftoff, Jerboa and Connect and although I don’t feel there is much between either of them in terms of features and functionality, I have settled on Connect. I came over from Reddit and was a big fan of Slide and Infinity fwiw.
American History X, Pulp Fiction, Heat… I could go on and on
I’ve barely been on Reddit this week and spend all my time here now instead lol. I dont think I’ll quit Reddit completely but for now at least Lemmy is ticking all the boxes for me.
Slackware is still my go to, but I have many diatros installed on VM’s.
This.
I guess its just natural to make comparisons between two similar products, but its something I’m sure will settle down over the coming months. I just hope that the community remains how it is and doesn’t become toxic in the way Reddir became after gaining the popularity.
I signed up to Reddit in 2014 and loved the platform to the point it was my goto when researching new purchases by looking for real world users of products, and would visit the platform multiple times each day. But sadly with all the stunts that have been pulled I have moved over to Lemmy like many others and in have to say i don’t miss reddit at all.
Although Lemmy is now my goto I guess I’ll still make occasional visits to Reddit.
Totally agree. The majority of my searches when I’m doing research into a new purchase would include reddit so i could read other users experiences. I’ve made the transition to Lemmy recently after trying the platform a few months ago and then transition for me atleast has been seamless.
Its such a shame that a once great platform is heading downhill. I’m still an occasional user of the site I’ll admit, but i guess Lemmy is my goto these days.
So long Reddit… It’s been emotional
