  • I feel like some of these get very skewed depending on the person’s upbringing and personal traumas. I know an autistic person who is deeply dedicated/committed to their partner(who has a severe mental illness), at the expense of the wellbeing of their children. That’s not ethical or moral, but this person made vows to God and their partner, not to their children

Also “honest” is mentioned twice, and that’s definitely one of those things that gets skewed too lol

  • With the caveat that I haven’t been in VA Beach for fifteen years, I wonder why the military presence wasn’t mentioned? Especially if the ytuber is going to mention Norfolk. Those two cities aren’t large because of tourism, it’s the number of bases in the area. Did I play tourist and meander the boardwalk while I was stationed there? Yep. Just like the rest of my shipmates.

Ngl I stopped watching after 2.5minutes, partly because video essays are not my thing, but also I didn’t understand why skylines were brought up for various cities and not really connected to the main content by that point.

Medication is a privilege that many with ADHD can’t access. It also doesn’t work for everyone. Are those people not disabled?

Also, ADHD is more than struggling to focus, or to sit still. Many of us struggle to start tasks, manage money, keep things tidy, or manage time. These issues can cause so many problems in life, ranging from inability to hold a job to relationship issues. Once the medication wears off, these symptoms rise back to the surface; because ADHD medication isn’t a cure, it’s symptom management.

  • Yeah, I understand why employers use it. Oddly, I used to work for Microsoft and can’t remember using OneDrive for our projects lol

But as a student I really prefer saving stuff locally and to a separate storage device. The university system has been hacked at least once since I’ve been a student, we all lost our credentials and were required to physically go to the campus to reset them. The university also revokes access three years after graduation.

  • I’m in university (as an old) and just about everyone from faculty to staff has been pushing me to put everything in OneDrive. I know better, but young people tend to trust that an educational institution is looking out for them.

My freshman year I met teenagers who didn’t know what a flash drive is. Most of them have iPads with no storage, one of my classmates was just uploading all her lectures directly to YouTube so she could review them later.
