Diplomacy demand.
“He should clarify them” roughly equates to “MFer better think long and hard about what they say next”.

His closet is going to look like military surplus Doug for the rest of his life.
BYD has been growing in popularity in Japan since they launched the Atto 3 this year, which is a bit surprising given how protective we are about using Japanese cars normally. There are a couple new models scheduled to be released soon. They made a really clever decision to use a lot of local Japanese manufactures for parts and molds, so local Japanese suppliers were a lot more receptive to them. People are lot more likely to look at your company favorably when you give locals jobs. I wouldn’t be surprised if they were making a push to other markets including the US soon.
The US will probably try to block it by saying that they scan your brain as you drive and send to the data to the “evil ccp”.
EDIT: I am personally looking at the Atto3 as my next car, as I moved somewhere where I probably need one. I am taking one for a test drive next week actually.
I know not every Chinese citizen lives in their big cities and drives cars and whatnot, but yeah, this makes sense.
Last I saw numbers, I think it was sometihng like 65-70% of the population is urban? So still a pretty massive number.
Given the type of “interrogation” that probably went on is likely akin to US “enhanced interrogation”, I wouldn’t be surprised if reports confirmed that Pixies from Pluto were confirmed to be the instigators of the war because they were angry Pluto wasn’t a planet anymore.
“until it ends at 9 am on Monday”
…why have a listed end date? Did they look at the reddit protests and go “Dang, THAT is what we gotta do”. A four day strike that covers predominantly the weekend when businesses will be least affected.
I will always support strikers, but I question if this is the most effective way to go about it.
You mean you didn’t immediately prostrate yourself and beg to know what tasks you must do to enjoy their good graces again? Weird.
They are so used to war being something that happens There and not Here that they cannot comprehend it actually affecting them. War happens on TV or in the arms manufacturer’s bank accounts, not at home.
They also probably believe their own propaganda that Russia is so outdated that none of their arsenal would work.
As far as I am aware Putin speaks Russian, English, and German fluently. I wouldn’t be surprised if he had some degree of skill in a few other languages as well.
The article does say he used a translator, he may have been off camera or using an ear piece.
Duckduckgo. Not for the privacy concerns, I believe that about as far as I can spit, but becaues I really like their bangs system. A lot of them have become very second nature for me at this point.
Also ducks are cute.
If I am searching something in Chinese I try to use baidu, but my actual chinese level is not that great. Working on it.
As far as I understand it (and I could very well be mistaken), China has no explicit ban of twitter; twitter chooses to not comply with local regulations that would allow it to operate. If they are willing to comply to the same regulations as all other foreign business in China, they would be welcome. So what is the MOFA talking about?
While I don’t think we have quite reached that point yet, I do know that the vast majority of all world sanctions are imposed by the United States. It is close to 100% if you include sanctions imposed at the request of the United States.
Currently large swaths of Asia and Africa and a smattering in the Americas. A lot of those are against individuals rather than the country broadly, but it often has the same effect.
Better yet, find some article in the lease of the property they are hosting the parties out of that makes gatherings of that size illegal. Pretty good odds there is something they are doing that would be a violation.
Seems an appropriate turnaround.
This guy apparently has some policy-advising gig with the congressional corruption committee. I suppose it makes sense, given his background of simping for the most corrupt country in European.
Dude literally bought himself a bandera patch for his jacket, he hasn’t even tried to be subtle.
Doesn’t matter, same song and dance every time and they never learn. When they are given a new Cause to rally behind, they will even as they throw the last one under the bus.
“Yeah, they really fooled us with Ukraine, but THIS TIME we know that (probably China) is the real threat to humanity!”
Curtailing aid to Ukraine will only prolong the war, Mr Zelensky argues.
Without foreign military aid, how would Ukraine be able to prolong the conflict? An army with no weapons and rapidly dwindling manpower is hardly an army, they’d be forced to sue for peace.
Imagine begging for billions of dollars in aid and then threatening to somehow activate sleeper refugees as terrorists if countries don’t comply. Would the refugees even listen, surely the vast majority of people fleeing the country aren’t the nationalistic type. Otherwise they’d have been running in the other direction.
“Numbers that high are impossible, the country is lying”.
Obviously the natural order of things is to have homeless on every street corner, it is impossible to exist otherwise!
I prefer the comments to the phantom downvoters. You can get some good dunks in on the former and there’s the chance someone stumbles across it and actually thinks for a few seconds. As far as how to respond to them, I don’t really want to dictate that. I think there is a place for a reasonable and rational response, a plus for dunks, and a place for pig memes.
I usually migrate from one to the next; I will engage in good faith at least to begin with. Doesn’t mean I think everyone should do the same if they don’t want to.
