And the Fediverse doesn’t have all of those already?
These are inescapable in the modern age internet unfortunately, however the decentralisation of the Fediverse should help in alleviating those symptoms of an open platform.

Nice recommendation with Droid-ify! I completely forgot about this, installing on my phone now too

More users provides more diversity - More diversity provides the potential for more niche interests to arise - More active niche communities provides more reasons for existing users to stay - More active users staying on the platform inevitably attracts more new users.
Have a look on F-Droid, there’s a whole heap of open source games on there

More users to accommodate more active niche communities

Standoffs is what I know them as
EDIT: No idea where you are located, but here’s an Aus store with some standoff screws. Hope that helps

I think so personally, because it’s still engagement and I’m assuming it probably contributes to the MAU number which could in turn attract more users

Thankyou!
I’m thinking Abbotsford at this stage, but also super open to Thornbury and Coburg (loved the vibe around Thornbury and High Street)

Thankyou! It was a really fun night out.
Goodluck on the new friend finding!
Over the years, I don’t think there’s many DE’s or WM’s that I haven’t tried to live with on a daily driver, such as KDE, Gnome, Cinnamon, Qtile, XMonad, I3, AwesomeWM, etc etc. What I found over the years was how much I appreciated a clean, simplistic UI for an operating system.
After spending multiple years on ‘window manager only’ setups (got fed up with updating configs on major updates, and got fed up with the amount of config I had to do), I returned back to KDE mainly for the intense amount of OOTB customisation. However, what I realised after a while was that I was just setting up KDE to look and behave like Gnome.
So 2 years after last using KDE, I’m now just using Gnome all the time. I like the workflow, on laptop personally I think the gesture navigation is better than any other DE, and I love the simplistic design. Plus extensions get me what isn’t included OOTB.
Downside to Gnome is when major updates occur and extensions break as a result, other than that I can’t think of much bad about Gnome

Hii thank you! I’m flying out tomorrow, so won’t be able to unfortunately. But I am looking to move down here before December, this trip was just me sussing some places out

Seriously? What’s giving off Eddie Izzard vibes?
EDIT: Well if your goal was to make me feel shit, congrats

Thank you so much!! I love these shoes too, but after a whole night out in them I’m definitely paying the price today haha.
Nice to meet you too

Oh it was such a fun night out! And thank you so much for the kind comment

Hii! Pleased to virtually meet you

<3

Oh cool, learnt something new! Thanks

Does Summit have the behaviour OP is looking for?
I can’t seem to swipe between posts on Summit, unless I’m missing something?

Seems like Russia is mostly blocked and China is fully blocked.
But Russia, China, and Iran are listed here. So maybe works? I’m confused
