Hi there!

I write this post cause in September I’ll be relocating to Prague since I found a job there. Any general recommendations or things you consider I should know about the city and the country are highly appreciated.

However, I am particularly interested in housing. I am relocating with my partner so I am looking for an apartment for both of us. I have seen some properties on SReality.cz. My workplace will be based in Prague 4. I have some specific questions:

  • Are there better housing portals?

  • What districts or areas of Prague should I avoid and what areas do you recommend me to live in?

  • Is 2+kk the best option as I read in some webpages?

  • Is it possible to get the apartment from my country or do I need to be there in order to have more chances?

  • Are there any abusive practices that real estate companies engage in that I should try to avoid?

As I said any general recommendation about Czech Republic is highly appreciated, I have never been in the country.

Thanks in advance!!
