I always use a VPN and I’m not willing to stop using it for personal reasons.

I recently got hired for a Work From Home position. During onboarding we had to install a few programs/tools for our day to day tasks.

I should note that I am required to be connected through ethernet. I do this by using a repeater/extender.

When I connected to their VDI/VM, one of the requirements was to connect to their VPN using AnyConnect (Within their VDI/VM). When I tried to connect, I kept failing and getter errors. I know for a fact that the reason for this is that I have a VPN on my PC (Host)…

How can I keep my VPN on,in such a way that I can hide it, and still allow me to connect to AnyConnect within their VM/VDI?

I know that as a last resort, installing the VPN straight to the router would be a solution. However, I currently can’t afford to purchase a router.

Would there be any other alternative?

I was thiking about using my VPN inside my own PC (Host), then running Windows on a VirtualBox (which wouldn’t have the VPN installed), and then using the VirtualBox for anything work related. Perhaps this would work. However, I’m required to have 8GB of RAM, which my computer has. But if I used Virtualbox, I would only be able to use 4GB of RAM, which would create a flag in their spec validation software. Perhaps I could find a way to throw in all 8GB of RAM into the VirtualBox?

I was also thinking maybe I could use one of my repeaters or extenders (I have many), and install the VPN on there (Similarly to installing it on a router).

What would you suggest?
