    Thanks all for stepping up!

I know it was mentioned by at least one of the hopefuls in the new mods thread, but has there been any thought given to whether this place will steer clear of political posts? Everywhere else is pretty much overrun with them so it would be nice to have a community for just normal everyday unpopular opinions, but on the other hand the political bickering does result in lots of engagement so I understand if you’re planning to keep it around.

That’s a valid question. The mod team here is still working on ironing out rules and other things. That should be a topic we discuss. With that said, for now, political posts can be here, but the votes will determine if they are seen. Again, this is for now, while we try to stabilize things and determine our approach.

Absolutely fair, thanks for the reply. Will watch out for updates.

(Also, good luck pleasing both the “upvotes mean agree” and “downvotes mean agree” crowds 😉

Thank you so much! 🙏 I appreciate you all taking the reigns

Do you have any plans on improving the rules? Or are they staying the same?

Edit: oops, sorry I didn’t read the other comment where you said that y’all were still ironing out the rules ‘n’ such

Thank you for hopefully silencing that fool who was dropping bad faith/troll arguments in every thread, “because there are no moderators I can say what I want” such a blatant abuse of federated trust.
