I Bought some 1200GB SAS Drives off of E-Bay that had their Sectors switched back to 512k from 520k by a local shop (They were in another server) According to the Shop. Since then I have had a hard time getting them to be recognized in all of my servers. The sector size is in 512 as they should be but I can’t seem to get them to ready in my 2 8 Bay DL-360P’s (Gen 8) and my One 16 bay DL380 (Gen 7). I am not sure what’s happening or if the drives are too large for any of the servers ?. HGST from my understanding is a Brand that is shipped with used HPE Servers. I have had a Gen 8 2 years ago that shipped with 600GB SAS Drives and they were the HGST brand and I had zero issues other then one DOA after it was shipped with my server.

Does anyone know how I could check to make sure they are all being read by the servers or is that not possible within windows Server ?. I bought them for my Storage server for both person YouTube Edited Exports of my videos and also for my Jellyfin Server media.

If anyone is able to help me out here that would be awesome.

Mike.
