I’m looking at replacing my R620 with dual E5 2680v2 / 512gb of RAM with an Epyc 7502p system. However, I’m curious how it will stack up on power usage.
My current system is under ~50% load 24/7. It has a NetApp DS4243 attached with half spindle and half SSDs. Power draw is typicality ~450w.
I’m hoping the lower TDP and higher core performance of the Epyc will result in less or equal power usage.
Does anyone here have a similar system they can provide some power numbers from?
