This is a serious and legitimate question.
I really struggle with my fiancé’s lack of ability to get anything done. His time management is pisspoor and priorities are always skewed. Constantly putters around and wastes time. Is an exhausted mess that refuses to see the doctor. He is an absolute slob. No matter how many discussions we have, nothing changes and nothing gets done.
Just hit me today that perhaps society is allowing this kind of behaviour a lot more now than in the past as there is just NO WAY any person would be able to survive like that? So many things that needed to be done on a daily basis in order to function for survival…. just to get clean water was a struggle. Many had to raise their own animals and tend to them for meat, likewise for vegetables in the garden. People had many early morning chores to do before being able to eat breakfast. And that continued throughout the day. It was usually a mission to get to and from work, if you were lucky enough to be gainfully employed. Etc etc.
How on EARTH did these people manage to survive aside from marrying good wives ? And why is it so acceptable today to be so dysfunctional?
