I work at a popular retail store. I’m 26 and I work with mostly 16-21 year olds. I know it’s not the biggest age gap but I do feel different from these younger people.

I saw one of my 19 year old coworkers post on their instagram “please keep my friend in your thoughts. or do any spells if you have any”

I was shocked to see them mention spells. so i asked them about spells and they said “yeah if anyone knows any spells that can help”. and they told me they had friends that did witchcraft

and I actually even saw a tik tok on my for you page about doing a spell on someone with over 1 million likes and the comments agreeing. And i’ve found a whole side of tik tok that acts like witchcraft actually does something

i think it’s kinda cool but it’s concerning people actually think it’s real

I guess I’m surprised that this generation seems to think witchcraft is real. I viewed as having a very scientific view of the world. I hear everyone talk about “trust science”, and global warming. i mean this is the generation that banned straws. but yet i’m shocked that people think witchcraft is real?
