It seems like due to the downfall of Twitter and Reddit, people will be moving to the Fediverse instead, and since there is not much here, people won’t be addicted to it anymore.

Additionally, it’s open-source and de-centralized as well, which omits censorship. What do you guys think?

I’d say it’s definitely entering a new stage.

The current titans will just make a “new” reskin of the old shit and millions will flock to it.

However with the Fediverse starting to take off, a spark of the old internet before everything was concentrated and so sickeningly corporatised and sanitised seems to have been rekindled and will hopefully not be snuffed out before it has a chance to really expand.

Will Lemmy replace Reddit? no. Will Mastadon replace Twitter? no. But, finally after a decade of total consolidation, there are competitors again, alternatives for those who’ve grown sick and tired of the bullshit, all the data harvesting and power tripping and manipulation, all the gaslighting and all the general horseshit dumped on the masses from on high by arrogant, idiotic billionaires.
