Welcome again to everybody! Make yourself at home. In the time-honoured tradition of our Order of CPC Shills™, here is our weekly discussion thread!

Our party posted an article/interview with Tings Chak about how China lifted 800 million people out of poverty. I think it’s the first interview in Dutch I’ve read about it and I’m spamming it to everyone I know.

return to Malaysia for a 1 month visit after living in the U.S. for the last four years

go back to the places I remember going to

return to a famous seaside which I visited frequently

find out that that seaside had been ruined by a land reclamation project

I’ve been reading some of the suggested reading from hakim’s list, and also watching videos from second thought, and I just feel so angry with the system. What do we do? What should I do? Can we do anything?

    • Depends on various circumstances, perhaps most importantly where you live (particularly imperial core vs. periphery). If there’s a solid Marxist (ideally Marxist-Leninist) party/organization (with a focus on both theory and praxis, not electoralism) nearby, you can try joining that. If not, I’d recommend just continuing to read theory for the time being (ideally with others), particularly that which is relevant to your country or wider region

If it’s true, they’re deflecting and missing the point of the criticism.

I am under the impression that tritium discharge isn’t a huge deal. But that’s not what the Fukushima water problem is about.

Chinese media have been reporting for months if not years that TEPCO and Japanese authorities don’t even know what other radioisotopes are in the Fukushima waste water and at which concentrations. The filters used aren’t appropriate and only certain isotopes are even tested for.
