    I can’t say there’s anything bad about your posts on this account, but too many are short of info about what the topic is. The only clue is a few characters in the link to a web page.

    So I am muting your account.

    @georgetakei@universeodon.com
    Dave Chappelle is an African-American man who uses “but I have a trans friend” excuses. That alone should be enough to ignore him and never watch his standup again.

    But on top of that, he is also a professional comedian who makes “I identify as an attack helicopter” jokes.

    Corduroy will return to relevance sooner than he does.

    @georgetakei@universeodon.com during this bit, Chappelle wasn’t making fun of Lil Nas X. He was pointing out that LNX was a dreamer, someone with lofty goals who wouldn’t let anyone stop him. The joke was that people don’t recognize the accomplishments of those like LNX in the same way they do with Chappelle himself.

    “I know a dreamer when I see one, and I’ve met many powerful dreamers in my life,” he said, “none more powerful than a man who calls himself Lil Nas X.”

    @georgetakei@universeodon.com The last line of the joke suggests that he is not making fun of Lil Nas X, but is making a joke about how nobody could have dreamt that video could even be possible, until Lil Nas did it.

    Chappelle is a dick, so I can see why everyone formed an opinion before that last line was uttered. But he’s not complaining about the video. He’s expressing surprise that it is so successful.
