    Maybe we’ll see an influx of new users from r/NCD. Maybe we’ll see some more activity here! I only lurk these parts (same on reddit) because it’s fun to read shitposts every now and then.

    It’s pretty dumb for RA to go after NCD, I clicked on far too many NSFW posts without realizing what it was as they weren’t labeled. The arguments NCD mods present with sources are true. I feel like it’s reddit just trying to stem the loss of money. Their IPO valuation has lost 41% of its value in a year[1](https://www.bloomberg.com/opinion/articles/2023-06-15/reddit-should-heed-its-users-as-well-as-investors) and now their bottom line is being affected because users realized advertisements aren’t shown on NSFW subs.[2](https://www.theverge.com/2023/7/6/23786474/reddit-nsfw-moderator-protest-final-warning)

        I think NCD provides enough mobikcube memes to be self-sustainable. Which is another reason why RA demanding the sub no longer be NSFW is farcical lol

      I picked this instance simply and entirely because it had the most active NCD spinoff on lemmy. I wish we could get the whole goddamn crowd out here.

        You don’t need to be on any particular instance to visit any other (so long as your instance isn’t defederated). I picked lemm.ee because it isn’t defederated from much, but more importantly the admin seems to know his stuff and has been making key contributions to the Lemmy codebase (as well as updating his mods into his instance first).

      I’m new to Lemmy, and had just gotten “into” r/NCD over the last year.

      I’m sure I’ll probably skim NCD for the memes, but I’m seriously impressed with Lemmy. I hope this portends good things for the future.

      I’m kind of a n00b as a shitposter though, i’ve got a lot of miltary history to read through. The NCD community has provided (no matter where they are hosted) literally some of the best ‘hidden history’ lessons I’ve ever encountered. I seriously hope Lemmy is adopted as a legitimate alternative.

        Alternatively, you can make a reddit account to spam illegal content all over reddit, wasting their resources and making them look bad to advertisers
