I cannot recommend this game enough to people. I still remember Total Biscuit’s review back in the day that was essentially, “I’m not going to spoil anything or go into too much depth, because you need to play this game.”
I took his advice and played it and it will stick with me forever. Amazing game.

Agreed. It is difficult to recommend in some ways because I didn’t find it all that engaging at first. The gameplay was interesting but didn’t massively hook me.

But then that bit with the swimming happened right at the end and… Wow. It just reframed the whole game for me.
I can understand that. I just tell people that the gameplay is folded into the story in a way that games rarely do, and to understand it you need to finish the game.
