I’ve got a 2017 limited with 64k miles that just had a transmission totally fail. Has anyone else seen this happen? I’ve averaged less than 10k miles per year and don’t tow anything. Dealership says I am 4k miles outside of powertrain warranty so nothing they can can do.
Yes, me and a few other guys I know. We all had shift kits added during the repairs. The transmission repair center told me it’s common with GMC trucks and adding the shift kit fixes it for good. They gave me a lifetime for how ever long I own the truck. He said that is how sure he is of the fix.
