I’m excited the Matilda’s have won. I’m not sure why the FWWC commentators have such a hard in for Sam Kerr… she’s done nothing so far, yet they praise her for being a water boy during the match last night… Doing any job she can… the women doing the work on the field don’t get a mention outside of their passing or a goal.

I’ve heard of Kerr. But I don’t know the names of any other players as I don’t follow the game. Maybe they’re catering to people like me, even though we’re not watching.
It’s a weekly thread. Oooo so new and shiny.
At some point it would be good to get some feedback from !sydney@aussie.zone regulars about the switch to a weekly thread.
I tried to do a daily thread long ago but got like no comments so stopped.
Sadly the Sydney community on here is non-existent while Brisbane and Melbourne are thriving. To be fair though, the Reddit Sydney community was also non-existent.
I think even a weekly thread will be pretty dead here.
Oh well. At least we tried.
Sad weekly thread is sad. I think come next week the weekly is going to the great big thread in the sky and the daily is coming back.
