Hey so I took me Kia soul for an oil change at one of the big companies and I got into a minor argument with the guy changing the oil. Basically accused him of making me pay for premium oil without asking me. He was really sketchy and gave off bad vibes.

My engine broke down a couple months later and I had to buy a new one. Any chance he could have done something that would cause it to breakdown? Not knowing the cause irks me. It had 100.000mi and it was a Kia so I’m guessing it’s just I heard Kia engines are shit but still curious if it’s even possible to do something that would cause a breakdown many weeks later.

    How much money difference are we talking about? It takes 5 quarts right? The tech was doing you a favor trying to get more life out of your POS…its a habit that they put in a better oil, tell him your sorry, and that you just got fired from work for always being late. Next time you should specify when you have oil service for them to put in the crappiest oil they carry. And yes remember what Obama was doing to thousand of cars, killing the engines in exchange for some crappy cash for Clunkers program. Just use less of that engine poison.
