I just bought a 2008 subaru legacy gt and on the way home, i lost all boost. After towing it home, I realized that the car ran fine. It idles perfectly any revs nicely without any misfiring or stumbling, but no matter what It would not build boost. This car did have a history of burning turbos, but it was taken to the shop a few months before i bought it and they found out that it was oiling issues and that was repaired. I would believe that it was a burned up turbo again but it isnt giving me any signs of one. No noise, smoke, or weird rattling. I checked the wastegate and its snapped shut. Im at a complete loss of what to do rn. Any help is appreciated
Take the intercooler and down pipe off, they’re pretty easy to do. Look up into the intercooler and see if there’s any oil and that’ll tell you if the turbo blew up bad, and if there’s no oil check the back of the turbo that’s been exposed to see if it turns freely
