I usually park my car in a garage while at home but sometimes i do overnight shifts and have to park her outside at work. Today after a night shift, temperatures dropped below 0 and it snowed. Tried to open the door but was frozen shut. Tried again and it opened but the window didnt go down as usual. Went to close the door but i wouldnt shut. Had to de-ice the entire window and blast warm air from the inside to melt for it to go down and close. Do you guys have any recommendations to prevent that from happening?

I’ve read that using Silicone spray on the rubber linings of the door (including the part where it touches the top of the window) and lithium grease on the hinges help a lot. I’ve personally not tried them cause there is no winter here, but might be worth a shot!
