So, I’ve been trying to take a crack at fixing my fuel trim issues on my 2004 VW Passat 1.8t. Normally My LongTrim sits around between 14% to 22%. See Video
I haven’t had much time to properly diagnose it since im far away from home at school and don’t have my tools to pull the plugs or check for leaks. It doesn’t seem like a vacuum leak since I don’t hear any hissing or whirling as people discribe. But im probably wrong. It idles fine most of the time. Just a running motor and the injectors is all I hear.
Things that I have done back in the summer when it barly idled:
- Replaced the fuel filter
- Replaced the PCV valve (Broke it by accident getting at the O2 sensors)
- Replaced both O2 sensors
- Cleaned MAF
- New Plugs
- New Diverter Valve

Sorry, it’s at WOT. Try 2nd or 3rd. And have lots of clear road ahead.
