i’m working on a hybrid project and i need a sub-100V (84V) 600 amp fuse. I’ve been looking around but they don’t seem that easy to come by. is there a good source of these? thanks!
I think what you might actually want is a fusable link. They tend to be used for high amperage like that
huh ok ill look into that
You can use a higher voltage rating fuse.
Here’s the fuse you want: A 150VDC 600A semiconductor fuse.

thank you!
I might have some higher voltage 600A fuses kicking around in the parts bin I could sell you. Lemme check …
That is a big damn fuse. But how long would you be pulling nearly 600 amps for? Most fuses in our size range can pass way more than their rated current for a short period. If you’re going to pull 600 amps max, but only for a few seconds, then a lower amperage fuse might be a safer bet. Check their datasheets amd they will have a chart or graph with different current draws and how long they can sustain them.
It’s only 48kW and, no, for low voltage vehicles it’s not a big fuse…is a pretty small one.
Short period is not flooring the vehicle, so your “safer bet” is a shitty bet.
