Hey guys I own a 1986 ford ranger 2.9l v6 and heard what sounded like water chugging out of my dash. I checked and all my fluids are still good and I’m not loosing and fluid below my truck.

A bit of research and it seems to me it’s likely my ac condensation drain in plugged and it’s probably collecting water. I’ve looked everywhere under my truck and can’t find the drain line as well I’ve read my owners manual front to back with no luck…

Can anyone explain to me where the drain line should be or share a photo? Thanks in advance!!!

Locate the heater box under the dash and look for a black rubber tube that comes out of the bottom of the heater box and heads down through the floor. That’s your drain. Lay a towel down and remove the rubber drain from the heater box. Be prepared for a flood of gooky water.

the plastic cover for the heater box under the dash has a small tube (literally 1inch) thing was going out to the motor through the firewall but there’s no other tubing attached and it wasn’t clogged….?
