Thinking of going for a base 991.1 for my car of choice and was wondering how feasible and reliable the 991.1 is going to be in a daily driving scenario? I think I’ll be putting in a decent amount of miles on the car similar to how much I put in my Focus ST.

What specifically happened to the battery? I am a year or so into my second battery and its starting to act a little weird for a relatively new one - oddly been seeing what seemed like high voltage readings

That’s exactly what mine was doing. I put a new battery in and then about 10-11 months later the car was kinda slow to start and I checked the battery. It was bad and I thought then there might be a charging issue. Had the alternator checked and it was working but not enough to fully charge the battery consistently.

So I ordered one from Sun-coast for about $600.00. It was a Bosch just like the one that came from the factory. Paid another few hundred to have my indie put it on. So $800-$900 all in. It’s been great for the last 30k ish miles.

Thats the only thing that has ever really gone wrong with my 2013. I mean it’s had a bunch of tires, brakes (pads and sensors, rotors were fine) several of the big services that get you air filters, plugs, replacement belts, etc.

It’s been an awesome 911 and feels fresh even with 85k miles. In fact I took it on a trip up to the Smokey mountains a month or so ago. I was going for work but knew I would get some time to play on the good roads.

I took the 991.1 even though I have a GT3 and 458 because it’s so much fun and the other two look a little off in the office parking lot during work hours. It did not disappoint at all!
