Beside the insane performance, is it also, inadvertently, a durability advantage? I know there were some times I accidentally took my Acura RSX close to 1300 rpm, maybe. But I later blew up that engine; luckily before the warranty. The T.50 seems designed to handle it.
A high redline makes zero difference in whether or not an engine can be money shifted, any manual transmission vehicle can be over revved.
