So today my car did nothing when i turned the keys. I jumped it with my other car and got it up to 12 volts. Now when I put in my keys into my car and do the half turn to turn on the electronics I see a battery and oil indicator (this is new). Then when i fully turn the key to engage the ignition, the car doesn’t turn over at all and the dashboard flashes. It almost looks like the entire electronics system restarts when i try to start the engine? maybe?
Does anyone have any clue what this could indicate? The entire dashboard restarting when i turn the ignition seems to indicate more of a problem then just a uncharged battery I would imagine. (Note: My battery is only ~1 month old.)
Try an alternator test. Also did you have your car running when you jumped it or did you just charge up the battery?
