Hello experts- thanks in advance!

I have a 2016 Toyota Corolla in good condition. Neither key I own will remote open the door. When I place each key into the manual lock it will not open. This makes me think the keys are fine and didn’t both simultaneously stop working.

I have not tried wd40. It is 55 degrees outside so I am not thinking the locks are frozen. I like in temperate climate so I doubt there is any need for deicer

Is this a car battery issue? Not sure I know enough about the unlocking mechanism

Thank you again!

Yeah, I had this happen with my van. I used WD-40, and it did not work right away, but when I went back to it, the WD-40 had permeated the lock. My logic tells me that the lock had no lubricant in it or it was stiff from disuse and putting the WD-40 into it and giving it some time to work, I was able to get into my van.

    Battery is dead

    Lockout and a jumpstart $$$

    Then get a new battery

The mechanism is fly by wire so it needs power.
