Popped a tire the other day and had to throw on the full size spare (Volvo s60 AWD)
Tire looked low, but I had to bite the bullet and drive on it. It was at 15psi. 25 miles later, I’m able to get to a pump and bring it back up to 34psi. I’m getting my OG tire patched later, but curious if the spare is salvageable. It’s clear that tire was riding a bit on the sidewall, but was not completely flat. I’ve seen sidewall interiors get ripped up from riding low, but not sure at what threshold that would happen at. Any input is welcome. Exterior sidewall is scuffed, but not damaged, gouged, or worn.

also pictures are needed before assessment.
Doesn’t have to be completely flat to damage the inner liner. 25 miles? My guess is it’s ruined, you could take it to a shop to have the liner inspected, but you don’t want your backup to be sketchy. Good reason to carry a small 12v socket compressor or hell even a bike pump in a pinch
Welp, turns out I didn’t need it anyways. Bought a new set of 4 and put the best of the current on the spare.
Puncture wasn’t in the treads like I thought it was. It was hidden under right where the tread meets the sidewall. I’ve never been lucky enough to have the puncture be in the treads.
