I’m still on a 10700k and skipped the whole Alderlake / Rapterlake / Raptorlake Refresh LGA 1700 platform. Just wondering how many Intel users out there also completely skipped the current platform and are waiting on what’s next in 2024.

I mostly just game at 4K 60fps and so far for the games I play my system is still holding up really well (paired with my rtx 3090). How about you guys?

I went from a 10600k to a 13600k with a Rtx 3090, same as you. I honestly cannot say there was much of a difference, Because with 4k your running lower fps which loads the cpu less.

I think I had less micro stuttering but that’s about all I can really figure.

I am on a 8700k (the equivalent of the 10600k) + 3080, and I am also thinking of going to the 13600k, but I’m still on the fence.

The productivity increase is nice. And the increase in minimum framerate (which eliminate stuttering) is very real, according to benchmarks.

But it’s hard to justify the complete change in platform for the swap.

If I sell all my old parts, i still need to shell out 200 bucks for the upgrade. Is this worth it?
