I’m a uni student who knows basically nothing in detail about laptops and I’m looking for a one. There are some things that I’m looking for, but I know that I’m probably not going to be able to find something perfectly aligned with my idea.
I’m looking for something:
- under €500
- slim and lightweight
- 13"/15"
- as powerful as possible (despite the low price)
- I really like macbooks’ butterfly keyboards so if possible something the closest to that
Thanks!!
I would recommend the Asus Zenbook 14 2021 Q408UG-211.BL-11 with the AMD Ryzen 5500U and Nvidia GeForce MX450. It’s 14 inches, lightweight and very thin. It has up to 16 hours of battery life with 65 watt type-c charging with 0-60% in 30 minutes. The display is 1080p which is high enough for the 14 inch form factor, and the keyboard is comfortable to type on for longer periods of use, and the trackpad is also large and is glass so it is a smooth experience. It has 8gb of RAM, which is enough for school work and even some light gaming on the side, which is also helped by the powerful enough MX450 with 2GB of VRAM for CAD, light editing, and modern games. Usually comes with 256GB of storage which would most likely be more than enough for your usage, but is upgradable if you need more with a PCIe Gen 3 2280 SSD slot. Here in the US it can be found for about 600$ new and around 350-400$ used, but should be within your budget in your country if you look around. Hopefully I could help.
