Probably a dumb question, but I need to do an oil change and have an extra oil filter that has been laying in my truck’s toolbox since the last change.
Would it be okay to use?

The inside of a filter is commonly a paper material. Even if water did not get in, moisture does.
If it’s a Fram, chuck it on general principle
It’s a Toyota OE one.
What is so bad about Fram?
