minus-squareBluePeriod_@alien.topBlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up1·1 year agoWhat is a rug anyway? It seems like every pixel has some sort of weird “don’t worry about it” QC issue.

minus-squareNervous-Mammoth7636@alien.topBlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up1·1 year agoWith the Pixel 2 you mustn’t update the camera app because that physically bricks the camera
minus-squareTehOwn@alien.topBlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up1·1 year agoHuh, I’ve got the Pixel 2 XL and updated the Camera app with no issue. I guess it’s just the normal Pixel 2? The Pixel 2 XL had a blueish tint to the screen which meant I could get it very cheap but they fixed the issue in a software update. Still waiting on them to release a new Pixel that doesn’t suck. I just want one with a rear fingerprint sensor. Is that so much to ask?
minus-squareStarksFTW@alien.topBlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up1·1 year agoI had that happen to my pixel 2 dropped that for an iPhone 12 Pro
minus-squareBiom4st3r@alien.topBlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up1·1 year agoWell, If they made the perfect phone you wouldn’t have to buy a new one!
minus-squareDirect_Definition_52@alien.topBlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up1·1 year agoI had to return a Pixel 6 I bought because 5G works only on the region the phone was sold in 🤦 what a load of BS. Even 4G+ wouldn’t work!
minus-squarea7madib@alien.topBlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up1·1 year agoThat’s more of a band issue, different regions operate on various frequencies. Buy the phone from your region or make sure it supports the necessary bands on your network before buying.

Google has no QC department
It has: the pixel owners. It’s a beta tester program.
