It is for use at home, I am slowly growing my collection of tools. I know I will need a tool to wind back my rear calipers on my car, on future cars and on family members cars so I would like something universal. I have found kits online but they look quite bulky, and more expensive than id like them to be.

Until I stumbled across this, has anyone had any experience with them? are they truly universal? Will I end up buying more wind back tools to fit each car?

It would fit onto my existing rachet and it’s quite small so it would easily fit in the limited storage space I have available.

I know some calipers can be pushed back with a bit of force and I’m fine with that, but I hope this would do for the ones that need winding back.

I’m not fussed about it being the best tool for the job, I just want it to work and ideally be universal so I can keep hold of it and not have to spend much money on specific tools for each car.

That cube barely works. A knuckle buster.

If you are doing lots of brake jobs the disk brake caliper piston compressor is the way to go.

    Well worth the money.

You can also rent this kit from your local autoparts store.
